Tour Wes Anderson’s High School, a.k.a. the Set of ‘Rushmore’

“It wasn’t until he saw some photos of St. John’s,” his own high school, “that he realized the places he had been imagining were the ones he knew from going to school there,” A.V. Club’s Kyle Ryan writes. The school ended up providing inspiration, the location, and a host of student extras for the film, as showcased in the film’s “yearbook montage” sequence, cataloging Max Fisher’s extracurricular activities at the fictional Rushmore Academy.
