The varsity soccer team has qualified for the WIAA State Championship!
DSHA is the two-time Division 1 defending state soccer champions. They will begin their bid for a third State Championship on Thursday, June 17 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee at 2:00 PM against Kenosha Bradford. If the team wins, they would play in the Semi-final game on Friday, June 18 at Uihlein Soccer Park at 5:00 PM. The Championship game would be held on Saturday, June 19 at Uihlein Soccer Park at 2:00 PM. Tickets for all games are sold at the venue only and are $7.00 per game.

Elmbrook Technology Academy is hosting SMARTboard training in their district. This is especially a nice session because they have tracks for specific departments: Science, English, Foreign Language, and Social Studies.

This workshop is for the person (digital immigrant) who wants to learn how to use a simple, drag and drop, free, web-based tool to design a dynamic website and blog. No technical skills required and you won’t have to learn HTML or CSS coding. From history to biology, no matter what subject you teach, you will leave this workshop with the start of a free, fully functional, live website you can continue to build on any computer with web access.
When: Monday June 28, 2010 8a-Noon
Where: Marquette University Raynor Library, Room 320H
You will learn how to:
- set up a professional looking website and blog by picking from dozens of professional designs you can customize to make your own
- add pages and elements to organize your site
- integrate text and images
- create active internal and external hyperlinks to other relative web-based content
- embed content from other sites like YouTube
- integrate features that allow you to have open or closed conversations with your colleagues or students
